Ben Jones' victory over Southwick's Aaron Bulmer lit up Crawley ABC's dinner show at the Effingham Park Hotel.

Crawley man Jones secured his second successive win since making his comeback with a a majority decision against Bulmer.

The home crowd were brought to their feet in a rousing final bout of the night, with 21-year-old Jones just taking the decision from the equally impressive Bulmer.

Crawley head coach Paddy Harmey said: "Ben Jones showed his quality with that performance, and the whole night was a credit to the organisers and the committee of Crawley Amateur Boxing Club."

Youngster Dave Kennard was the other winner for the host club on an entertaining night, outclassing Portsmouth Stacey's Tom Fuller to secure a second round stoppage.

Fifteen-year-old Jason Lock was unlucky to lose to Shepway's Joe Tibble on a unanimous decision, while debut-making Crawley man Ross Lewis was stopped midway through the third by Whitehawk's Wesley Beagley.

Also making his debut for Crawley was Jody Jefford, who lost on a majority decision to Horsham's Matt Bristow, while Horsham youngster Ryan Cox lost to Southwick's Ross Brand on a majority.

Sam Butler (Southwick) saw his corner throw in the towel midway through the first round of his clash with Andy Sutton (Portsmouth Stacey).
