Third-placed Lancing had to settle for a 0-0 draw at East Grinstead.

Wasps had the better chances but a well organised and resilient Lancing team went close to snatching all three points when Matt Kelly and Jamie Cole, twice, all missed glorious opportunities in the same attack with eight minutes to go.

Eastbourne Town had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to improving Worthing United.

Paul Raynsford put Worthing ahead with a delightful free kick on 34 minutes but Town levelled midway through the second half with Lee Walsh's fourth of the campaign.

Home manager John Dutton gave debuts to Peter Montgomery and Andrew Walsh and was delighted with the result.

"They are one of the best sides we have played, so a draw is really pleasing," he said.

Seaford manager Duncan Kneller will be appealing after he and assistant Jon Holmes were sent from the dugout during their 1-1 draw at home to Mile Oak.

The hosts were disappointed with a number of decisions but Kneller will be claiming mistaken identity after someone on the touchline made their feelings known to the referee.

Seaford's frustrations were not helped by a string of fine saves from visiting keeper Richard Whittington.

Mark Curram put Mile Oak in front on 27 minutes with a chip over home keeper Bob Thomsett but teenager Tom O'Callaghan replied three minutes after being introduced as a half time substitute.

Pease Pottage climbed above Mile Oak after an eye-catching 2-1 win at in-form Steyning Town.

Danny Kemsley opened the scoring for Pottage, seizing on to a long kick from debutant keeper Chris Fowler.

Angelo Asigno levelled for Steyning seven minutes from time but Pottage responded immediately when man-of-the-match Kemsley set up 15-year-old George Smith for the winner.

Pottage coach Vic Ayles said: "We are starting to get a side together now. We have a good crop of youngsters and it is looking quite bright for the future."

Westfield's climb up the table continued with a 3-1 win over rock bottom Oving.

Darroll Parris scored twice after Graham Drinkwater's opener had been cancelled out by Joss Parsons.
