Cartoonist Alex Hallatt has won a prestigious award for her web site.
Alex, who draws the BN1 strip in The Argus, picked up the award for best personal site at the second Brighton and Hove Virtual Festival Web Awards 2002 last night.
The award was presented by Professor Alan Cawson, professor of digital media at Sussex University, at Sussex Arts Club in Brighton.
The event, sponsored by The Argus and other organisations, was organised by Mark Walker of Sussex Community Internet Project (Scip).
Mr Walker said: "People voted online and we had nine judges. People found her web site easy to navigate and use."
Scip works with charities, groups and schools to provide computer access and training.
Other winners included Lewes and St Michael Cricket Club in the CommuniGate category and My Brighton in the community category.
