Champions Burgess Hill are starting to show ominously good form after brushing aside
East Preston.
They were no match for Danny Bloor's side at Leylands Park who stormed into a 5-0 lead at the interval.
Steve Harper scored a first-half hat-trick and Ashley Carr (2) and Phil Churchill completed the rout in a 6-0 success.
Bloor said: "The first half-hour was probably the best we have played this season and it was all over by then."
Another hat-trick hero was Warren Levy who spoiled Richie Reynolds' return to the Wick hot-seat.
The Southwick striker's treble came in a 5-0 win at Old Barn Way. Steve Davies, with his first of the season, and Tony Holden were on target. Boss Sammy Donnelly said: "We were without six players because of suspension and injuries but the youngsters who came in did well."
Horsham YMCA, another of the early pace-setters, turned it on in the second half at Arundel as they romped to a 4-1 win.
Nick Flint opened the scoring before teeing one up for Paul Young who then hammered in a third. Flint's finish across the goalkeeper completed a satisfactory afternoon, although boss John Suter admitted it was not much of a spectacle.
Hailsham Town continued their climb away from the bottom with an impressive 3-1 win at second-placed Sidlesham.
The result means Hailsham have picked up seven points from the last 12 after losing their first five matches of the campaign.
On target were Ross Southwood, with a header, Scott French and Danny Brown. Scott Tipper hit a late consolation for the hosts.
Jason Tighe hit an 89th-minute winner as Shoreham won 2-1 away to ten-man Redhill.
Chris Dicker missed a third-minute penalty for Shoreham and they were made to pay when John Difford put Redhill ahead.
The hosts had Mark Battra sent off for kicking Mark Pulling before half-time and Shoreham took advantage when Pulling levelled with a volley before Tighe side-footed home the winner.
