So the Tory councillor from Westbourne Ward tells us he has been trying to clean up Aldrington Halt station since 1995 (Letters, Aug 28).
If, in seven years, he has not been able to achieve what we, the residents, have been asking for, I think it is time he stood aside so that someone who is more capable had a chance.
This same Tory councillor totally misrepresented those of us living in Poets Corner who wanted a parking scheme.
I, for one, will be giving my vote, which he previously had, to a different party in the forthcoming local elections because actions speak louder than words and we have given enough time for that action without result.
