Murder squad detectives have renewed their appeal for information after a dustman was found dead outside his home.

Police investigating the death of Andrew Wynd believe witnesses with key information have not come forward and are urging them to listen to their consciences.

They say they are lacking vital information despite offering a £10,000 reward for a successful conviction of his killer.

Mr Wynd, 37, died a week after being stabbed twice in the back as he walked home from a pub at 10.30pm on Sunday, July 21 in London Road, St Leonards.

A murder inquiry was launched when Mr Wynd, a bachelor, died at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.

Detective Inspector Jane Tilzey, who is leading the inquiry, said: "We know there are people out there who have vital information but they are reluctant to reveal the identity of the person responsible.

"We would urge people to contact the incident room at Hastings.

"They can be assured of speaking to an officer in confidence."

Anyone with information should call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999, extension 60461 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
