Regarding O Bougourd's letter (Aug 27): Yet another criticism of two wonderful series.

Gordon Dean writes of Hollywood in its golden era, hardly mundane, I think. What is mundane are the everyday happenings to us all (with a few exceptions, of course).

As for Roger Moodiman's efforts, far from mundane again, I feel. You try playing the classics with only one hand!

Interesting stories from both gentlemen make both series lively and informative.
