We would like to thank everyone who wrote to us expressing their disapproval at the deletion of that part of Telscombe Tye which lies south of the A259 from within the proposed National Park boundary.
In its response to the Countryside Agency, Lewes District Council will be putting forward strong objections against this proposed change in boundary.
At the request of Councillor David Neighbour, the county council has agreed to strengthen its objections to this proposed change.
Telscombe Town Council has also sent a letter protesting the change.
We hope the many objections about the proposed deletion of this area will serve as a timely reminder to Southern Water that residents will continue to campaign to preserve this area.
-Coun Liz Lee and Coun David Neighbour, Saltdean
