A dance will be held in memory of a young pilot killed in a helicopter crash.

The Sixties Dance, to be held at Shoreham airport on July 20, will raise money for the Dennis Kenyon Junior Helicopter Flying Scholarship.

The scholarship was created to honour the memory of 18-year-old Dennis Kenyon who was killed when the helicopter he was a passenger in smashed to the ground and burst into flames minutes after take-off in March 2000.

Dennis, who lived in Shoreham Beach, had only just passed his helicopter licence test and planned to set up his own flying school.

The aim of the scholarship is to train and fund young helicopter pilots.

Tickets are on sale at the airport terminal building reception and cost £6.
