This is 23-year-old printer Michael Reynolds who suffered serious head injuries outside a nightclub.

Mr Reynolds was with friends on a night out in Brighton when he was either assaulted or fell and hit his head.

He was taken to Hurstwood Park neurological hospital, Haywards Heath, where he underwent surgery. His condition was said to be critical.

Two men, aged 25 and 34, were arrested and later released on bail pending further inquiries.

Mr Reynolds, from Ruislip, Middlesex, was injured outside the Zap Club in King's Road Arches, Brighton, between 1.45am and 2.10am on Sunday.

A team of officers, led by Detective Superintendent Ken Probert, is working on the case and an incident room has been set up at Brighton police station.
