Glamour model Jordan was celebrating the birth of her son today.

The 23-year-old model spent nine hours in labour after being induced by doctors at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Football star Dwight Yorke flew back from Australia on Saturday, where he had been coaching, to be with Jordan, real name Katie Price. She had been due to give birth almost two weeks ago.

The baby, called Harvey after Jordan's grandfather, was born at 1.15am today and weighed at 8lb 7oz. Both baby and mother were doing well, said Jordan's spokesman Dave Read.

Mr Read said: "Katie is absolutely thrilled that she has given birth naturally to a healthy baby boy in Brighton at the hospital of her choice. She is sleeping now but is fine.

"Dwight was at the hospital when she gave birth but I cannot comment on whether he was actually in the room. They are both delighted. I can't say who the baby looks like."

Jordan's mother Amy and best friend Sally Cairns, a make-up artist, were at her bedside.

Jordan abandoned her original plan to give birth live on the internet and opted instead for the same NHS hospital where she and her own mother were born.
