It's encouraging to see Adur Conservatives embracing the idea of co-operation at long last. It's something Labour councillors have tried to
promote ever since I can remember.
One practical example a couple of years ago was when we worked alongside Brighton and Hove Council to attract government money to buy some houses to get local homeless families into proper homes.
I'm also glad the early negotiations Labour Adur councillors started with Worthing Council to co-ordinate and streamline the two authorities' direct services are now starting to bear fruit.
However, I just wish for once Adur Tories could put dogma and political bias to one side for the good of local people. Why can't Adur Tories work with all other local authorities and services in our area - whatever party controls them - and not just their political friends?
If Labour can do that, why can't the Tories?
