Michael Parker (Letters, April 19) asked which Norman Wisdom and Joan Rice film was being shot at the Palace Pier in 1954.
I suggest it was One Good Turn, in which Norman was the oldest child at an orphanage. The orphanage children were sent to Brighton for a day out. Joan Rice was in a number of films in the Fifties, Payroll in 1961 and played a graverobber's wife in The Horror Of Frankenstein in the Seventies. She died on January 1, 1997.
