Vandals caused damage costing hundreds of pounds to a children's playground when they set fire to a dumped settee.
The sofa was pushed beneath a set of swings in the playing field in Fox Way, Portslade, at 10.30pm last night.
A fire brigade spokesman described the blaze as "mindless".
