The sight of the devastation wrought upon the refugee camp of Jenin left me shocked and disgusted.
How would other nations be treated if they, too, repeatedly ignored UN resolutions and the requests of almost the entire world? Where are the sanctions and the international coalition now?
The day the life of a Muslim or Christian Arab is considered of less worth than that of an Israeli Jew is the day we cease to value human life itself.
When a powerful nation such as Israel unleashes its military machine upon the Palestinians, it cannot still claim to hold the moral high ground. Thanks to the actions of Ariel Sharon and his tanks, the bigots on both sides will find plenty of fertile ground during the coming months.
