What a shambles Beat Boutique was. April 13 will go down in Brighton and Hove's history as the day the Albion were promoted to Division One and the day the Boutique sold out its faithful following.
Having queued for many things in my life, I have never experienced anything like this disaster. The organisers showed a complete disdain for the people who made this club what it is.
If someone asked you to pay £26 for a night out where the main acts were in a room you needed to queue for 40 minutes to get into, there were no toilets or bar and you had to queue for more than an hour to return should you dare go to relieve yourself or buy a drink, I am not sure you would find many takers.
Perhaps this was an oversight by the promoters. If so, the sensible thing would be to offer refunds to those who endured the experience.
