I realise I will be thought inhuman as far as dog lovers are concerned.
However, having read the story about the police dog in The Argus, I agree it had to be destroyed.
Not only did it bite part of a child's ear off, it had also previously bitten a police officer.
How many more people would that dog have bitten?
I was bitten by an Alsatian years ago, when young, and have never forgotten it, having had stitches in the wound. I didn't touch the dog at all.
Since then, if I see one even on a lead, I have to cross the road. I am petrified and can't trust them.
They are unpredictable and, when all is said and done, they still have wolf blood in them - enough said.
