Oh, how I agree with Paul Tillyard (Letters, April 9). I feel guilty going into an old-fashioned boozer for a pie and a pint these days.
No, I don't want to buy an organic beer and a posh salad. I work hard and I need both hearty food and down-to-earth conversation to see me through the day.
Brighton and Hove is big enough to cater to all tastes.
Bar owners, please, think twice about trendifying every single pub in the city.
There are plenty of us out here who prefer our pleasures without the organic/new-age label firmly attached.
