The response of Assistant Chief Constable Nigel Yeo to the decision to put down the police dog sums up everything that is wrong with the police service today: Completely out of touch.
All their sympathies are with the criminals and not the victims.
How can an officer hold a senior rank when he expresses views in a manner like that?
It makes you wonder about the quality of his other decisions.
