Norman Cook wants to attempt something never done at a gig before when he plays on Brighton beach this summer - but he won't say what.

The Hove DJ is keeping his lips sealed about details until the event takes place on July 13.

Norman, alias Fatboy Slim, told Ministry magazine: "It's only four hours of music because of the noise. You could hear us over a mile away last summer, apparently.

"I'd like it to run from noon to 5am, but that's unreasonable.

"We have a few surprises in store. It will look different, that's for sure.

"We have one spectacular gag up our sleeves, but I want that to remain a surprise.

"What I can tell you is that it has never been attempted before. Well, not during a gig anyway."

He will be joined by Midfield General and John Digweed.

Norman said he would be headlining this year's Glastonbury Festival and was hoping to try out some DJ tricks during his set.
