Andrea Bain must be living in a different city (Letters, March 28).
No corporate head offices?
I could have sworn I drove past the American Express, Victoria Real and Legal & General buildings this week.
Brighton Pier may not be to her taste but it is one of the top tourist sites in Britain. I'm sure its employees would have something to say if it were torn down.
Miss Bain can't dismiss all the jobs in hotels and restaurants as low paid, many people make a career from the catering and leisure industries.
No cultural diversity? Miss Bain can pick up, from most local pubs or cafes in Brighton and Hove, programmes for Komedia, the Dome, the Gardner Arts
Centre, the Brighton Festival, the Duke Of York's Cinema and various other venues and events that have nothing to do with clubbing and that make this city the best cultural place to live outside of London and Edinburgh.
Maybe Miss Bain should stop looking for negatives and get out more.
