Albion boss Peter Taylor has set his players a 20-point target to achieve the dream of back-to-back promotions.

The second-placed Seagulls already have 66 points and Taylor calculates 86 could be enough to take them into Division One.

Taylor's team, beaten 3-1 at Stoke on Friday, launch another important week at Withdean tonight against mid-table Wycombe Wanderers.

On Saturday they travel to the Madejski Stadium for a top-of-the-table showdown against leaders Reading.

Taylor said: "We have got ten games to go, six at home and four away, and it is very important that we bounce back.

"That would give us a big lift for another massive game on Saturday.

"There are still plenty of shocks to happen and we have got to make sure we are not one of them. We've had a brilliant season so far, we are in a tremendous position and it is up to us to keep it going.

"I am still looking for 20 points. If we get that we will give ourselves every chance."

Taylor is asking for more of the same from Lee Steele after the back-in-favour forward scored and starred at Stoke.

It was Steele's first start since January 12 and he is expected to form a 35-goal strike force tonight with Bobby Zamora, who returns from a three-match ban.

"I've always picked what I regard as the best 11 players at the time," Taylor said.

"People have been a little bit surprised that I wasn't picking Lee, but in my opinion he wasn't one of the best 11 then.

"On Friday night he was fantastic. He proved to me how hard he can work and that he can play for 90 minutes.

"I was delighted for him, because we've had a few words. Nobody likes being left out and no manager likes leaving players out."

Steve Melton, a second half substitute on Friday, could miss out with a thigh muscle injury sustained in training yesterday.

Wycombe manager Lawrie Sanchez is expected to make changes. He had his players in on Sunday for training and crisis talks after a third home defeat in a row against lowly Bury, which virtually ended their play-off hopes.

Albion are seven points behind Reading and two ahead of Stoke with a game in hand of both. Reading are at home to fourth-bottom Bournemouth tonight, while Stoke travel to Colchester.
