I was sorry to read of the former Second World War pilot, Bill Williamson, who lost his flying log book, which had been left on the roof of his car as he drove off to book a flight his family had bought for his 80th birthday (The Argus, February 28).
Although it was long after the war before I learnt to fly, I know I would be most upset if my flying log-book was lost.
I do hope whoever may have found his will do the decent thing and return it safely to him. It would really be of very little use to anyone else.
