I will not mince my words with regard to the bias Voice Of The Argus (February 7) showed towards those on benefits who rent accommodation. It was plain and simple prejudice. Whether a tenant is receiving benefits or not is absolutely no indication of how that tenant is going to behave in rented accommodation. I speak from a professional standpoint.
On the contrary, I would urge The Argus to make a close examination of how unscrupulous landlords continually abuse and exploit the system. Shame on The Argus for taking such an unbalanced and unfair stance.
