Computer virus experts have said BadTrans.B is still the most dangerous virus around, months after its discovery in November.

Badtrans.B accounted for 66 per cent of reported infections last month, according to anti-virus specialist Kaspersky's statistics, easily topping the list of the top 20 viruses.

BadTrans.B spreads under Windows systems. It sends e-mail messages with infected files attached and installs a spying Trojan component to steal information from infected systems.

It also uses Outlook to send mail to itself and is able to replicate itself.
