Wick boss Richie Reynolds has begun his rebuilding job at Crabtree Park.

Reynolds, who took charge two weeks ago, has returned to his former club Pagham to sign four players.

Paul Morby, Ricky Wilson and Danny Horrill all had their contracts cancelled recently, having not played for the Lions since Reynolds was sacked in November.

All three have now joined Wick along with utility player Nick Clark.

The rules of seven-day approaches would have meant Wick could only sign one of those four but a deal has been struck with Pagham which sees Gary Young, Adie Miles and Greg Conway moving in the opposite direction.

Reynolds has also signed Alec Masson from Selsey and Gary Page from Lancing, and has been linked with Chichester striker Tony Stephens.

He added: "We also have some brilliant kids here and I will be blooding them before the end of the season.

"In the past I have puts kids into the County League at 15 and 16. These players are between 16 and 20, so I will have no problems using them."

Pagham boss Paul Gilbert said: "Adie Miles is a proven goalscorer, Gary Young is quality and I have always rated Greg Conway. The backbone of our side isn't too bad now!"

Adie Girdler is hoping that Stephens will stay and fight for his place at Chichester.

The Chi manager said: "I would be very disappointed if he went to Wick. I haven't heard of any approach but would hope he would stay and work for his place in the side. Jamie Laidlaw and Roger Moore have been banging in the goals but when he has come on he has done well."
