Rob Collins was the star of the show as Crawley Town thrashed Burnham 6-0 in the Dr Martens League Cup second round.

Collins netted four times as Reds completely dominated their eastern division opponents.

Jimmy Dack, Warren Waugh and Steve Sargent were all handed starts in a changed Crawley line-up.

The deadlock was broken on eight minutes when Jay Lovett's long free kick allowed Lee Doherty to volley home a rare goal.

Doherty and Steve Restarick went close to adding a second goal before Carroll doubled the lead in first half stoppage time.

It took Collins less than a minute to make an impression as a half time substitute as he powered in on goal before firing home through keeper Dave Smalley's legs.

In the 65th minute, Collins beat defender Andy Dugdale before firing home a low shot.

Two minutes later, he completed his hat-trick with a thumping shot before heading in Carroll's cross to complete the scoring.

Horsham streched their unbeaten run to 13 games as they won 3-1 at high flying Leyton Pennant in Ryman League division two.

The Hornets went ahead in the 14th minute when Lee Carney beat goalkeeper Russell Ling to the loose ball before setting up Gary Charman who swept into an open goal from 16 yards.

The second on the half hour was identical. Ben Jones challenged Ling for a loose ball and Carney again collected, setting up Jones to fire into an empty net.

Lively Pennant pulled one back in 54th minute through Carlson Campbell but Horsham wrapped up victory when John Kirby netted.

Withdean 2000 conceded a last minute equaliser as they drew 2-2 with Cobham in the Combined Counties League.

Roy Pook and Clay Lamont twice put Withdean ahead.
