Five people were arrested after police found a "substantial" amount of crack cocaine in a flat today.
Thirty officers, some wearing stab-proof vests and helmets, smashed their way into two flats in the same block in Whitehawk, Brighton.
The four men and a woman, aged between 20 and 40, were taken to John Street police station.
The raids were a joint operation between the Sussex Police crime and drug unit and Brighton officers.
Inspector Rob Carden said: "There will be more operations like this in the city in the next few months."
