Has it not occurred to the young woman whose doctor talked of devils and demons that he was being highly but inappropriately flippant or heavily sarcastic?
The Reverend John Webster is entitled to his views on the matter, of course, which do not surprise me in view of his calling, but this is the 21st Century, not the 17th.
My advice to the young lady is: Change your doctor.
