I am sure many other people are fed up reading, night after night, in an otherwise good newspaper, with the ramblings of self-proclaimed moralists, claiming to represent the people of Brighton and Hove.
The somewhat simple vegan and vegetarian animal rights extremists have decided their view on animals is the only one and any other is wrong.
They are typical of small extremist groups, using propaganda and misinformation to further what is otherwise a rather weak point of view.
Their ideas are, in principle, no different to racism - that any other opinion or lifestyle is wrong and must be crushed by whatever means, including violence and intimidation.
Man is, by nature, a hunter and consumer of meat and Mother Nature is far stronger than any of us.
If people wish to hunt a fox, fish for a nice salmon or shoot rabbits or pheasants for the pot, they should be allowed to do so without hindrance.
Nor is it a subject worthy of debate in Parliament.
