After reading the report on Barbara Joyce (The Argus, November 29) and her "rescued" dogs, a few questions came to mind.

Where were the dogs and cats "rescued" from? Ms Joyce sells a lot of kittens so one assumes she breeds for the purpose of selling.

The hamster and bantams were supposed to be family pets belonging to her young daughter. Why, then, were they kept approximately six to seven miles from the family home? And why was Ms Joyce in possession of a wild hare?

Have there ever been kennels at Quimper Stud?

Ms Joyce used to breed cocker spaniels so one has to assume so.

I would really like Ms Joyce to answer these questions.

My heart goes out to the people who purchased sick puppies. My advice would be to go to a genuine rescue centre - the NCDL, Raystede or the RSPCA. All ask for a donation but not of nearly £200, as was the case with Ms Joyce.

To the people who really rescued the animals from Quimper Stud, my heartfelt thanks for a job well done.

If there is any way we can get in contact, I would gladly donate £100 to help in the upkeep of the animals you saved.
