How disappointing to discover that Lib-Dem leader Paul Elgood has walked out of talks aimed at establishing an effective system of local governmment in Brighton and Hove.
Rather than spitting his dummy out because he couldn't get his own way, Coun Elgood should climb back in the council playpen, learn to compromise and work with others to ensure the wonderful committee system he promised the public during the mayoral referendum becomes a reality.
