My friend and I had an enjoyable time at the Better Government for Older People (BGOP) event.
We took part in very informative discussions with the police and councillors but were too late to vote.
Regretfully, the refreshments were served in plastic beakers more applicable to a children's tea party.
A proper cup and saucer could have afforded the dignity those who attended are striving for.
