I write with regard to "Fury in village over new flats" (The Argus, October 22).
The views expressed were not those of Ferring Parish Council.
They were my personal observations and, although I am vice-chairman of the council, I thought I had made it clear that I gave the interview in a private capacity.
I can well understand, however, how the misunderstanding arose.
I sincerely apologise to readers for any misunderstanding that may have arisen.
In due course, Ferring Parish Council will submit its formal view on this outline planning proposal and, by the end of the year, Arun District Council will have delivered its verdict.
