I feel deeply sorry for people who are depressed or distressed but reading about PC Trevor Perks (October 5), a father of two struggling with a suicidal man at Beachy Head, makes me realise how selfish some people can be.
Not only could PC Perks have lost his life but also his children could have been fatherless.
If people want to commit suicide, why not let them?
We have a Samaritans group in every area.
If you are depressed or distressed, give them a call but, please, do not put other people's lives at risk.
