Albion boss Micky Adams has attacked mounting off-field problems after watching his side go top of the Second Division last night.

The Seagulls came from behind to win 2-1 and Wrexham with two Bobby Zamora goals to lead the table ahead of today's fixtures.

But a courageous victory was overshadowed by Adams' growing frustration at events off the pitch.

"We are top of League after seven games," he said. "If it was a game of pontoon I would stick now, but there is a long way to go and you don't win anything in September.

"We have come a long way in a short space of time under my managership and this is more than I can ever have hoped for.

"I keep saying it, but the periphery of the football club isn't right and its getting worse by the day believe it or not.

"Things need to be altered because myself and the players are working ever so hard to make the fans of this club feel proud. We can't do anymore than we are doing at the moment. The off-field problems need sorting and addressing and that needs doing now."

Adams refused to comment further, but he is known to be unhappy about Albion's training facilities.

They have been preparing for matches at Ardingly College, because he was dissatisfied with the state of the pitches at Falmer.

The Seagulls are now having to return to Falmer as the Autumn term has now started at Ardingly College.
