Hundreds of students at the University of Sussex donned gowns and mortar boards for their graduation ceremonies today.
A record 1,700 graduates turned up to collect their degree certificates during the event at the Brighton Centre.
Two ceremonies were arranged - one in the morning and one in the afternoon - and presided over by university chancellor Sir Richard Attenborough.
He presented certificates to each student in turn as they stepped on to the stage, watched by family and friends.
There are eight pages of University of Sussex graduate results in The Argus today.
