Surely the most attractive of sights at this time of year must be the many splashes of bright yellow to be seen as the rape ripens in the fields.

It is as if someone has come along with a gigantic brush and daubed great strips of colour across the countryside.

These beautiful splashes of yellow always give me the feeling that I am seeing a Van Gogh painting coming to life in front of my eyes.

Of course, Mother Nature herself will always be the greatest artist of all and, most wonderful of all, her work is free for all of us to enjoy.
