Escapologist Adrian Davies-Jordan will live out his rock'n'roll dreams on TV show Star For A Night.
Adrian, 36, of Ditchling Rise, Brighton, is a street performer in London's Covent Garden and plays in a pub band, together with Londoner Helen Austin.
The two of them will perform in front of millions when they sing Dreams by Fleetwood Mac on the telly talent show.
Also on the show, on Saturday April 7 will be Des Hegarty, 27, of Worthing Road, Angmering.
Des, a temp who works for Southern Water, will sing the Marvyn Gaye song How Sweet It Is.
He has been an actor for three years and has performed in musicals and pantomimes across the country.
He dreams of a leading role in a musical and hopes his television appearance will give him the boost he needs.
Star For A Night aims to find the most promising talent of the future and is judged by regular panellists Barbara Windsor and Nigel Martin-Smith, joined by Emmerdale actress Deena Payne and singer Kele Le Roc.
Contestants are not allowed to reveal whether or not they won until the show is broadcast.
Adrian enthrals tourists and shoppers with his street act. He asks people to truss him up in chains and manacles, then breaks free.
He says he earns enough to get by from his street show but he dreams of musical fame.
He hopes he and Helen, a stand-up comic, will be discovered by talent spotters when the show goes on air.
Des said: "I have done lots of small-scale theatre but this is my television debut.
"I once had a chance at appearing on TV but during the auditions I was up against a 14-year-old girl with hand puppets, so I didn't stand a chance.
"It doesn't matter what the outcome of Star For A Night is, my goal was to go into it and have a showcase for musical theatre and it was great fun. It's like being shot by a fairy's gun."
