What was just a good idea 12 years ago has grown into one of the UK's leading business solutions and IT training companies.

Set up in a Burgess Hill dining room back in 1989, ADA Computer Systems has seen phenomenal growth and recently moved into new premises in Burgess Hill where it employs more than 60 people and the number continues to grow.

The company can now provide desktop and technical training in its newly refurbished training centre as well as send its skilled trainers to clients' offices.

As software resellers, the company has grown into a major player by its policy of providing an efficient, competitive and value added service. Its network solutions arm has always been at the cutting edge of technology.

Company founders Mike and Anita Davey and John Davies have steered the business to success by establishing a solid and reliable infrastructure. Many others in the same field have fallen by the wayside after expanding too quickly.

Mr Davey said: "We have always been prepared to put the time and effort into the business to make sure it keeps ahead of the rest. We are proud of our consistent investment in high-quality service and support.

"During the years, we have been at the forefront of technical change, leading the migration away from central host computing to powerful desktop processing. We are also able to integrate complex networking solutions and information systems, allowing businesses to stay competitive.

"Our philosophy is the same today as it was in 1989, making continual investment in our technical expertise through training, and listening to our clients' business needs."

ADA's clients range from small and medium enterprises to large corporations. Mr Davey said the firm's success has grown through building relationships with its clients.

He added: "We understand that simply supplying computer solutions does not ensure that clients get the best from their investment.

"We try to become a strategic partner providing cost-effective IT solutions with all the ongoing technical expertise that goes with it.

"During the years, we have invested heavily in specialist staff who have proved to be our greatest asset."

ADA's largest business unit covers networking. This team ensures every aspect of implementing wide or local area networks is dealt with by specialist technical and sales consultants.

A recently completed project was the linking of a number of buildings at Brighton College through a wireless system, saving the listed buildings from undergoing intrusive and damaging cable laying.
