Having had eight years' experience of marketing Brighton Pier, Marie Henley has branched out on her own and is now marketing the whole city.

Her new business, All Things Brighton, aims to offer marketing and public relations services to companies based in the city as well as visiting organisations.

Mrs Henley is an international business studies and marketing graduate, with more than 11 years' marketing and public relations experience gained at the stock market and leisure industry.

She said: "When I was with the pier, I was always looking at the different companies in this line of business but never found one which offered a complete tailored package.

"Frankly I was often disappointed at the reluctance of some firms to provide ad hoc services as well as long-term marketing consultancy. I realised that there was an opportunity to provide London-quality marketing solutions at Brighton prices."

The company's services include market research, marketing planning and corporate literature. It is linked to local agency Adapt and Survive which offers digital design for print, web and new media.

It also provides a unique virtual personal assistant service to companies which need to get organised but do not have the budget for an extra person.

Mrs Henley said: "With my knowledge of the city, its businesses, attractions and venues I believe I have the ideal background."

The offices are at the Silicon Beach Centre in Gloucester Road.
