The photos of the roof of the Dome recently published in The Argus (March 3, 9 and 13) demonstrate the difference between the original light and decorative roof and the present heavy and sombre roof.

Why was this disaster not spotted by English Heritage, museum staff and council managers when the plans for the Dome complex were submitted?

So many millions of pounds have been spent on the Museum, Dome and Corn Exchange that it seems incomprehensible this damaging work, which appears to have been a cheap solution, has been allowed.
