It has been a difficult week for our team. After our recent run, we were expecting to have two good performances.

Last Saturday we played our worst game in as long as I can remember. We lacked energy and concentration. It was upsetting to play a team for the first time and give a performance like we did.

Even on a day when shots don't fall and things don't go our way, we could certainly have given a better performance.

On Sunday, we played quite a bit better than we had the night before.

Against another one of the top teams in the league, the London Leopards, we went to double overtime, before losing. I think, however, if you asked any of the members of our team, they would tell you that this game was much more disappointing than the Newcastle match.

It was an unusual game for our team.

Throughout the season, we have won almost every game that was close in the last few minutes. We usually make good decisions and execute well in crunch time. Out main problem this season has been that we get down too much in the early stages of the game.

Against the Leopards, we played well at the beginning and then fell apart in the last few minutes. On the one hand, it is good that we have been getting better starts. Even against Newcastle, we had a decent start.

On the other hand, it is upsetting to lay poorly at the end of close games. Hopefully this was an isolated incident of poor play at the end and we will play well at the end of our remaining games.

Finally, I would like to say a few words about the biggest news of the week. Will Johnson is coming back to Brighton next year! I was very surprised and excited when Will told me the big news.

I think that the people who are involved with the Bears organisation are very lucky to have Will around for another season. I also think that Will and his family are lucky to be back with the Bears for another season. It is one of those rare situations where everyone involved gets a good deal.

Actually, I guess it isn't good news for all the other teams who wanted to sign the big man, but, I can't worry about their feelings as I don't think any of them read my article!
