Phil Houlton could never be accused of being a greedy goal-scorer.
The Worthing Colts U-11s player had already scored in his team's 8-2 win against Avisford when he generously opted against scoring a certain goal to let his mate hit the net.
Phil had gone on a brilliant solo run that had taken him past a couple of defenders and the Avisford goal-keeper. But instead of glee-fully striking home, Phil opted to pass the ball to team-mate Dominic Myers.
The Worthing-based English Martyrs School pupil was modest about it all.
He said: "I thought Dominic was in a better position. I had already scored and just thought I'd knock it to him.
"I love playing foot-ball and it doesn't matter if I don't score."
Phil, an Arsenal fan whose idol is Thierry Henry, is a worthy winner of our Youth Footballer of the Week.
