Part of the pleasure of going away for blind people is reduced when they are in unfamiliar surroundings.
But Honeywood House in East Preston has taken the terror out of the experience by being one of the few hotels in the country to be designed especially for people with poor sight.
There are all sorts of clever touches such as talking clocks and specially-adapted lights. Even the guide dogs can have a holiday with special canine diets, fleeces and baskets.
There are thousands of people with bad sight in Sussex and millions throughout the UK. If only a fraction of them choose to holiday at Honeywood, business should deservedly be booming.
