I find it very hard to believe Brighton and Hove City Council's comment (Argus, March 8) regarding Peter Bennett's flat: "Unfortunately, there is a shortage of all kinds of council properties generally and there are very few which meet Mr Bennett's particular needs."
My mother's flat on the ground floor with access to outside a grassed area in Benson Court, Ingram Crescent, Brighton, has been left unoccupied since January 29, following her death.
If council properties are in such short supply, why has this flat been left empty for the last six weeks?
