A computer games programming wizard with 18 years' experience has joined a Hove-based technology firm.
Simon Nicol, 34, who has been working on popular games since he left school at 16, has joined E-Advantage solutions to help develop the firm's business applications.
He said: "I have been looking for a company that can see the future, willing and able to develop a product that people need and can use without the frustration we find in software on the market today.
"When I took my ideas to the major developers, I found there was a wait-and-see attitude towards innovation.
"It was very frustrating that companies with so much money are not prepared to invest in truly futuristic software that would really bring our use of computers into the 21st Century."
Simon began his career programming the Tornado Low Level game for the Commodore 64 in 1983. He also programmed Nintendo's Licence to Kill and Back to the Future 3 games, among a list of hundreds of software titles.
At E-Advantage Solutions he will further develop e-commerce and internet applications.
