Albion boss Micky Adams expects Bobby Zamora to put himself on the spot again.

Adams wants his young hot-shot to continue as penalty taker against struggling Barnet at Withdean tomorrow night.

Zamora replaced Paul Watson in the role after Watson blazed over in Albion's triumph at Barnet on Boxing Day.

He was successful from the spot in the victory at Kidderminster in January.

But his weak penalty was easily saved by Paul Musselwhite in Saturday's convincing Withdean win over Hull.

Adams said: "It's like riding a bike. When you fall off you pick yourself up and have another go.

"A 21-goal striker shouldn't be upset at missing a penalty. I don't think it will be a big problem for him."

Steve Melton, who grabbed his first senior goal against Hull, has been handed the chance of an extended run in the team in place of long-term injury victim Charlie Oatway.

It was revealed yesterday that midfielder Oatway faces surgery tomorrow on an injured left knee, which could rule him out for the rest of the season.

Melton said: "Hopefully I can keep the shirt as long as I can.

"It was my first League start at home on Saturday and I scored, so I can't complain."

Cardiff will go back above Albion again into second place tonight if they win at Shrewsbury. Fifth-placed Leyton Orient, 12 points adrift of the Seagulls, visit rock-bottom Carlisle.

Albion fans can still get tickets for tomorrow's game at the ticket office at 5 Queens Road or they can book by telephone (01273 776992) and pick up at the tickets at the collection point at Withdean from 6pm tomorrow.

Albion's reserves are in action at Queens Park Rangers today from 2pm.
