Sussex fashion fans can cash in on top designer clothing at discount prices at an event planned for the end of the month.
Hove-based Frances Conway has spent more than two decades working in the fashion industry. She ran Names Designer Discounts in The Lanes, Brighton, from the Eighties until it closed last May.
For her latest venture, Frances has booked a suite at the Thistle Hotel which she intends to stock with items from names such as Jasper Conran, Dolce and Gabbana and Valentino.
Frances said: "I was the first person in the UK to offer designer products at discount rates. I got the idea while on a trip to America where the practice was already established and I introduced it back over here very successfully.
"The idea of setting up a shop in a hotel is new for this business as well. There are plenty of fashion shows or discount events, which can turn into a bit of a bun fight.
This is different. It is an opportunity to see the clothes displayed in a good but temporary environment."
The event will showcase summer wear and includes cashmere from Scotland and a suede collection.
Frances said: "We tried to hold a similar event before Christmas for the winter wardrobe but it was the day the hurricane hit and the trains were not working which was bad for business.
"Those who braved the weather said it was marvellous and well worth the effort. We are expecting a big turnout this time."
The event will take place on March 31 and April 1. For more information call Frances on 07899 075093.
