I travel to south London every day on the A23 and am surprised there aren't more accidents like the one photographed in the Argus (January 31).

Drivers travel too fast and too close to each other. Many seem to feel the closer they are to my bumper the faster I will drive.

They don't indicate when they change lanes, and use mobile phones and shave while driving.

Once past the accident scene, many drivers sped off at way over the speed limit, still on their mobile phones, bumper to bumper.

I seriously wonder if any of them gave a moment's thought to how this "accident" could have been avoided.
